Mr. Sondah brings many years of commitment, value and integrity to the Bong County Technical College (BCTC) as Vice President for Administration. He believes that education is inherent and paramount to the nation’s development needs. He aspires to work with a team that is committed, disciplined and dedicated to ensuring that the vision, mission and value of BCTC is carried out in order to build a vibrant and sustainable institution.
Mr. Sondah joined the BCTC family to be a part of a professional and technical workforce that will advance the culture of education; promote reciprocal knowledge of peace, ethnic and religious diversity; build a framework for commonly shared values; strengthen quality education and intercultural competences; and foster exchange of ideas for sustainable development. This he believes will make an distinctive impact aimed at mitigating the social and economic problems facing many Liberians while progressively resuscitating the post conflict nation.
Mr. Sondah conviction is unequivocally spurred by the fact that he has earned not only the requisite education but also substantial years of experience working as Program Coordinator for the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless (USA); Senior Planner for the Ministry of Gender and Social Protection; Employment Policy Advisor to the Minister of Labour; Consultant to the Liberian National Commission for UNESCO at the Ministry of Education; and Lecturer at the University of Liberia.
Mr. Sondah also served as the President for the Bong Kwatekeh Association of Minnesota; Chairman for the Governing Board of the Organization of Liberians in Minnesota (OLM); and CEO for the Liberian Christmas-Friendship Social and Financial Club in Minnesota – The USA.
Mr. Sondah earned dual Masters of Arts Degrees in Public Administration and Nonprofit Management from Hamline University in Minnesota, USA. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from the A.M. E. Zion University College in Liberia. He also holds an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Microcomputer Support Technology form the St. Paul Community and Technical College in Minnesota, USA. He has a Certificate in Employment Policy from ILO International Training Center in Turin, Italy.
